Meet April Centrone, Founder of ACEarts.

Education. Founder of the New York Arabic Orchestra in 2007, April has dedicated her career to teaching and sharing Arabic music. She created a specialized music therapy program for youth and special groups, incorporating Arabic music training and healing practices. Her programs include the U.S. Embassy of Malaysia ‘Music Therapy Tour',’ Musicians For Harmony, Carnegie Hall: World Explorers, Carnegie Hall: Summer Music Educational Workshops (SMEW), Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Connect and Paul Simon’s Music Fellowship, and master classes/ university residencies worldwide.

Performance. April has toured with iconic Arab artists including Ziad Rahbani, Marcel Khalife, Bassam Saba, Emel Mathlouthi and Saint Levant.  She has played in Coachella,  Summerstage, Lincoln Center Out-Of-Doors, Celebrate! Brooklyn, Globalfest, Festival Musicas Do Mundo in Portugal, New Zealand World Music Festival, Festival Du Monde Arabe in Montreal, Marciac Jazz Festival in France, Taipei Silk Road Conference, and venues such as United Nations, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and NYC Opera House.


Composition & Recording. April was percussionist and producer for Ubisoft’s 2023 soundtrack, Assassin’s Creed: Mirage video game recorded by her orchestra, nominated for the BAFTA Best Music for a Video Game award in April 2024.  She is  a co-composer for the upcoming Disney+/National Geographic Documentary Attack of the Red Sea Sharks. In 2024, April produced Phoenix, EP featuring her original compositions and performance on Arabic percussion, drumset, oud, saz, buzuq, violin and guitar.

Producer & Filmmaker. Founder/CEO of 10PRL film production studios, April produces, directs, writes and composes music for various film projects, including narratives, commercials/promotional videos, music videos and events.
